Why I Design for Joy (And How I Hope You Feel It Too)

When I sit down to create something—a bag, a keychain, a hand cream—I’m not just thinking about how it looks or functions. I’m thinking about how it will feel. Not just to hold, but to receive. To use. To gift. To carry through everyday life.

For me, design is about delight. It’s about infusing everyday objects with a little personality and a lot of heart. I want someone to unzip a pouch or grab a keychain from their purse and feel a spark of joy.

That’s why I choose bold florals and playful prints. Why I pour soft, comforting scents into every candle. Why I add thoughtful details to every tote. Because joy doesn’t have to be saved for big moments. It can live in the small ones too.

Over time, I’ve realized that I don’t just run a handmade business—I curate moments of beauty and warmth. I offer tiny, tangible reminders that the little things matter. That softness, color, scent, and texture can make our days feel more special.

This is especially on my mind around Mother’s Day, when people are shopping not just for products, but for meaning. For something heartfelt. And honestly, I think every item I make is its own kind of love letter.

So whether you’re gifting something to someone else, or simply treating yourself—my hope is that you feel the care I put into every piece. Because I’m not just designing for function or fashion. I’m designing for joy.

And I hope you feel it.
