Pop-Up Postcard: June 14, 2025 - Moses Lake Farmers Market - Dog Days of Summer

Paws what you’re doing—because this past Saturday was tail-waggin’ fun at the Dog Days of Summer Market! The park was full of furry friends, happy humans, and the kind of sunshine (and breeze!) that makes for a perfect market morning.

From the moment I rolled in (a bit behind schedule… let’s just say the snooze button had its moment), it was go-time. The market officially opened at 8:00, but my first big order came in right at 9:00 am—and it was a tail-wagger: a $95 sale that definitely got the day off on the right paw. 🐾

The Bestie Collection dog bandanas were the top dogs this week! Especially the Bandana Red, Dogs Blue, and Bark! Bark! prints. They were definitely pup-ular picks.

Other crowd favorites included:

  • Lip Balm Holder in Check Please Yellow

  • Cosmetic Bag in Pink & Orange Wild Check

  • And I even sold my last Essential Tote from the Petal Rush Collection.  Peony for Your Thoughts (goodbye, floral friend 🌸)

🐶 One of the sweetest shoppers? A little dog named Peanut who strutted out of my booth in a red bandana complete with a chenille “P.” Just look at this face! ↓

The whole market went to the dogs—in the best way possible! There were raffles, giveaways, a photo booth, a pet food drive, and even a cooling station and pup cups to keep furry visitors comfy. Columbia Basin K9s hosted a special race, and Grant County Animal Outreach (where I adopted Harley!) brought adoptable dogs—and found homes for three of them!

It was definitely a tail-waggin’, treat-filled kind of day.

🐾 Market Moments Worth a Mention

  • I had a full-circle moment when Harley’s foster mom stopped by! (Harley was adopted him from Grant County Animal Outreach.)

  • Even more wild? I met someone who adopted one of Harley’s littermates—totally by chance! She picked out four bandanas for her pup.

  • I also won the raffle! I almost didn’t take a ticket because I’m a vendor, but I’m glad I did—thanks to Chris for the gentle nudge and Harley is enjoying all the goodies.

  • The adoption event was a hit—three dogs found their forever homes that day. That alone makes it a paw-sitive win.

🐶 What’s on the Cutting Table

While I won’t be launching anything new this coming week, I’ve got more treats in the works! I’ll be restocking and adding a few new items to the Bestie Collection, including the Backyard Zoomies candles and Spoiled Rotten hand creams—because pampered pups deserve pampered people, too.

I’m also hoping to stitch up a few fresh boxy bags and cosmetic bags from my Petal Rush and Say It With Flowerscollections—if time allows (no promises, but I’m chasing the tail of that idea 🐕💨).

Thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a joyful, dog-filled day. I’ll be back this Saturday—same place, same booth, same happy vibes.

Until then… stay pawsitive and give your pups a treat from me. 💕

XO,

Katie

Hey Katie! LOVED this update. Those puppy eyes kept me engaged too. I love how much you do to support fosters. Your collection is also 🔥! Wish I lived closer to check EVERYTHING out in person.
