Pop-Up Postcard: June 21, 2025 - Moses Lake Farmers Market

Saturday started off a little chilly, but the sunshine peeked out just in time for a cozy day at the market. I had a steady flow of visitors stopping by — some browsing, some shopping, and quite a few lovely chats in between.
One of my favorite moments was helping a sweet young lady pick out a bandana for her pup — she even brought him along for the shopping trip! While I was personalizing it for her, my daughter and granddaughters popped by on their way to pick up raspberries and head to a movie. It was such a happy little collision of family and market joy.
I also had a heartfelt conversation with a woman who adopted a severely neglected dog — hearing his story and seeing his recovery photos reminded me just how special the bond between humans and animals can be. (And that every pup deserves a bandana, of course.)
Several visitors this week were in town for a railroad convention — they were wearing Kansas City, MO badges and had the sweetest midwestern charm. A few treated themselves to hand cream and made my day with their kindness.
Even the cotton candy vendors across the aisle got in on the shopping fun, choosing a tote bag for their daughter who’s a teacher. It’s always such a joy to swap stories and support fellow vendors.
