Pop-Up Postcard: May 24, 2025 — Moses Lake Farmers Market on Third in partnership with the Downtown Moses Lake Association

What a day! The streets of downtown Moses Lake came alive for this special market in partnership with the Downtown Association, and the energy was just what you’d hope for on a late May weekend—sunny, social, and filled with friendly faces.
I was really pleased with my booth layout although, in the beginning, I really didn't know how it was going to all come together. But in the end I really liked having the flow of traffic from both sides and the sun didn't give me too much trouble.
From the very first hour, it was clear that hand creams were the stars of the show. Sea Salt & Orchid and Sweet Peach & Lime were especially popular—light, fresh scents perfect for the season. I also loved seeing a few of my floral scrunchies from the Say It With Flowers collection get scooped up. It always makes me smile when people find joy in the small, cheerful things.
The best part of the day, as always, was chatting with so many of you—whether you were picking out a gift, smelling every hand cream (yes, I see you and I love it), or just passing by my booth in rainbow tutus. Thank you for making this market so much fun.
And then… the wind arrived.
Just as I was starting to pack up, a sudden gust caught my tent and lifted it off the ground—weights and all. I grabbed on, hoping to keep it down, but the wind had other plans. In seconds, the tent was up and over, and I was stuck between tables as people rushed in to help. It was chaotic and unexpected, but thankfully, no one was hurt. I’m incredibly grateful for the kind folks who jumped in to assist. I haven’t fully assessed the damage yet, but let’s just say… I may be tent shopping this week.
Unexpected endings aside, it was a wonderful day and such a joy to be part of this downtown market. I’m already looking ahead to next weekend—and hoping for a gentler breeze.
XO,
Katie
