Pop-Up Postcard: Opening Day at the Market • Moses Lake Farmers Market - May 3, 2025

It’s official—market season has begun! Opening Day at the Moses Lake Farmers Market kicked off bright and early on Saturday, and even though the weather brought clouds, breezes, and a few scattered showers, the spirit of the day was anything but dreary.
With an average temperature around 59°, it was a little chilly, but shoppers still came out to show their love for local. The market launched a new tradition this year: a ribbon-tying ceremony with the mayor and a heartfelt “Tied Together by Community” theme that set a beautiful tone for the season ahead.
Traffic in my booth was steady throughout the day, and while I always hope for more sales (don’t we all?), I’m still counting it as a win. It felt great to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new customers who were just discovering my work.

The best surprise of the day? My daughter and granddaughters popped in for a visit! I had no idea they were coming, and it made the whole day feel even more special to have them hang out with me for a while.
Despite the gray skies and a bit of drizzle, the energy of the market was full of color, connection, and community—everything I love about being part of this local tradition.
